Qualified: A CWFH Weekend Preview

As 2018 comes to a close, Championship Wrestling from Hollywood is already looking forward the New Year. Grab a cup of hot cocoa and cuddle up with your favorite blanket as you catch this week’s episode! This edition kicks off with Fidel Bravo stepping into the ring with “Uptown” Andy Brown. Two weeks ago we saw Bravo qualify for the 2019 PP3 Cup Tournament by picking up a win over Vintage Dragon. Andy Brown is focused on his Hollywood Heritage Championship Ladder Match next week at Milestone. Is Fidel getting too big for his chones or will “Uptown” Andy Brown be too distracted thinking about Royce Isaacs to defeat “El Bravo”?

Pinx chokes Andy Brown on the ropes while Bravo has the referee’s attention.

Next we will see a featured Women’s Division matchup as Ayoka Muhara takes on Australian stand out Indi Hartwell. Hartwell recently picked up a sweet win against the confectionary competition of Zaida. As Muhara looks towards her Milestone opponent Heather Monroe, a win on an international star would surely drive home a message to “The Killer Bae.” Will Hartwell continue to live up to her “impressive” moniker or will Ayoka Muhara leave her opponent laying with the Powerslam?

In our Main Event, the next entrant into the 2019 PP3 Cup Tournament will be decided in a Four Way Dance! It will be former Hollywood Heritage Champion Bad Dude Tito versus former United Television Champion BHK versus former CWFH Triple Crown Winner and the first PP3 Cup Bearer Ryan Taylor vs “Young Fuego” Adrian Quest. Quest has the biggest hill to climb in this Main Event, as he must take down a who’s who of Hollywood. Taylor knows the inner workings of Bad Dude Tito and BHK, but could he be too concerned with the disappearance of his partner Tomaste to focus? Is BHK too wrapped up in the investigation of Vermin to capitalize on this opportunity? Will Bad Dude Tito be able to set aside thoughts of NWA gold that await him at Milestone and qualify for a chance at a guaranteed title shot of his choice? Tune in to this week’s edition of Championship Wrestling from Hollywood and find out!

With the year coming to a close, Championship Wrestling From Hollywood competitors are turning their eyes toward new opportunities in 2019.  The Percival Pringle III Memorial Cup Tournament serves as a proving ground for wrestlers to compete for “Percy’s Privilege;” a guaranteed shot at any title defended within the United Wrestling Network.
At Milestone on December 9th, Championship Wrestling From Hollywood will wrap up 2018 with an epic 10-person Battle Royal to choose the final entrant for the 2019 PP3 Cup Tournament.  The winner of this whirlwind of a contest will join esteemed wrestlers who have already qualified for next year’s PP3 Cup Tournament including Steven Tresario, Bateman, Adrian Quest, Danny “Limelight” Rivera, Fidel Bravo, Dan “D-MAN” Parker, and Richie Slade.

Viewers have not seen a Battle Royal on the program since Episode 200, where El Leoniño (who was later revealed to be PP3 Cup Bearer YUMA) was crowned the victor. Along with YUMA, past winners of the PP3 Cup Tournament include stellar competitors like Rocky Romero, Dicky Mayer, Ryan Taylor, Suede Thompson, and Ricky Mandel.
Multiple illustrious titles are scattered across the United Wrestling Network, rendering the PP3 Cup Tournament a monumental opportunity.  “Percy’s Privilege” will enable one triumphant Cup Bearer to take fate into their own hands and issue a challenge for the title of their choice.  In just a matter of hours, ten eager competitors will lay it all on the line for the final spot in the PP3 Cup Tournament.  Be sure to tune in for this wild clash at Milestone to see who will enter the fray and who will leave victorious.

National: A CWFH Weekend Preview

The clouds have parted above Los Angeles and that means that it must be time for a brand new episode of Championship Wrestling from Hollywood! This week the RockNES Monsters continue their investigation of Vermin by kicking off the program against former Vermin members Ryan Taylor and Joey Ryan. Taylor hasn’t had his head on straight since the mysterious disappearance of Tomaste and this could play into the hands of BHK and YUMA. However, viewers shouldn’t count Taylor and Ryan out, as they held the Heritage Tag Team Championship while members of Vermin! Will the investigation continue smoothly for the RockNES Monsters or will former champs Ryan Taylor and Joey Ryan reunite in their winning ways?

Next we will see “The Killer Bae” Heather Monroe square off against Arizona’s Morgan. Morgan has returned to Hollywood after spending years training in the deserts of the Southwest with The Tribe. This is a welcomed challenge for Heather Monroe, who is eager to embarrass anyone who considers herself a “seasoned” competitor. Will Morgan have a successful return to Hollywood or will she be forced to tap out to the Seven Year Stretch?

In our Main Event, Willie Mack makes his first defense of the NWA National Championship against “Uptown” Andy Brown. Riding high off of the momentum of the NWA 70 event in Nashville, Mack looks to make a statement with every title defense put in front of him. Andy Brown is a worthy contender to the National Championship, having won the 2018 Red Carpet Rumble and steamrolling into big opportunities in CWFH ever since. This Main Event will be one you won’t want to miss, so make sure you catch this week’s edition of Championship Wrestling from Hollywood!

Big Nasty Seeing Double This Sunday

On December 9th at the Oceanview Pavillion in beautiful Port Hueneme, CA, Championship Wrestling from Hollywood will host its final Blockbuster Event of the year, Milestone. It’s no surprise that all of the matches announced are sure to be instant crowd pleasers, but one match in particular has set itself apart from the rest: the confrontation between one of Hollywood’s hottest new tag teams and one of it’s most decorated champions. “The CEO of Suederade” and 2018 PP3 Cup Bearer Suede Thompson teams up with “The Best Thing” and the winner of the United Wrestling Network’s Best of Seven Series Chris Bey (together known as Double Platinum) to face off against “Big Nasty” WATTS and a mystery partner who will be revealed Sunday.
Recently we’ve seen Double Platinum make waves on Championship Wrestling from Hollywood by launching a vicious assault on the only man to single handedly hold the United World Tag Team Championship. Hollywodwrestling.com reached out to Thompson and Bey to find out why exactly they have gone after WATTS.

“WATTS for a long time has been presented as a major player in Hollywood. We, on the other hand, have been treated like lower class citizens. We are the top players,” boasts Chris Bey, full of confidence, spite and no shortage of attitude going into their match at Milestone. “We must treat Sunday like we treat every other Sunday at home and take out the trash.” The man with the record for most Red Carpet Rumble “kills” did not take kindly to being referred to as “trash,” and when prompted for a response to Double Platinum’s comments WATTS had this to say:

“Suede and Bey came at the King but they missed. Now the King is coming with reinforcements.” Double Platinum may feel like this is a “big kid in the school yard getting jumped by the stud hoodlums” kind of situation, but if they think that taking down “Big Nasty” is going to be easy they’re in for a big surprise.
Milestone kicks off at 3 P.M. this Sunday December 9th and as always the event is FREE. Come and join in on the festivities and make sure you don’t miss out on this history-making event as Championship Wrestling from Hollywood presents Milestone!

NJPW Young Lions in action at Milestone

By Bobby Rockman

This Sunday December 9th at the annual Blockbuster Television Event Milestone, the United Wrestling Network and New Japan Pro Wrestling are proud to showcase two matches featuring three Young Lions from the NJPW LA Dojo. Will they be able to impress head trainer Katsuyori Shibata as he watches on in attendance?
Current Young Lions Trainer and former United Television Champion Scorpio Sky with Head Trainer Katsuyori Shibata at the NJPW LA Dojo.
First, in a tag team match two tough competitors who have been making a name for themselves over the last few months Clark Connors and Alex Coughlin will team together to take on two of Championship Wrestling From Hollywood’s best: fast rising star Adrian Quest and former UWN Television Champion Ray Rosas. Connors and Coughlin were featured in a special attraction singles contest at the most recent NJPW event at the Walter Pyramid in Long Beach. Can these two sparring partners come together as one cohesive unit to take down two of the most athletic competitors in CWFH history or will Rosas and Quest “win one for the homies”?

Also in action will be Bateman, who goes one-on-one with the returning NJPW Young Lion Karl Fredericks. Considered one of the top blue chip athletes in professional wrestling today, Fredericks has always been an impressive competitor inside the squared circle. Can Karl bring glory and honor to the NJPW LA Dojo or will former Red Carpet Rumble Champion Bateman send Fredericks packing with a “Chelsea Smile”?

“The Killer Bae” Meets Her Match in Ayoka at Milestone

“I have every intention of beating Heather Monroe down and humbling her on one of the biggest events of the year,” says Ayoka Muhara, determined to make her presence felt at Milestone on December 9th. 2018 has been a tough year for Muhara, who came back from an injured orbital bone to build tremendous momentum in the second half of the year on Championship Wrestling from Hollywood. Fans of our program haven’t seen a wrestler with the power of Ayoka since long before Heather Monroe’s rise to stardom. With the strict training regimen that Muhara has adopted in preparation for this match combined with her hard-hitting offense in the ring, all eyes will be glued to this bout to see if she will be the one to knock Heather on her hindquarters. HollywoodWrestling.com caught up with “The Killer Bae” to ask if she thinks that Ayoka just might have her number.

“Ayoka couldn’t even dream about being on my level,” snaps Monroe. “So no, she doesn’t have my number. She has strength on her side, but brains over brawn always.” Heather Monroe has used those brains to pick up some major victories in 2018 against names like Shotzi Blackheart, Zaida, and most notably Barbi Hayden on the historic United Wrestling Network broadcast from Wenzhou, China. If Heather wants to overcome the strength of her opponent, she will have to be thinking steps ahead of Ayoka or she will fall victim to the running powerslam that left Monroe laying the last time these competitors met.

Winning at Milestone will set the pace for 2019 and will be a launching pad into the next step of the winner’s career. It will be a must-win situation for Ayoka Muhara and a can’t-lose situation for Heather Monroe. Who will leave the Oceanview Pavilion with her hand raised? Make sure to be there live on December 9th as Championship Wrestling from Hollywood presents Milestone!

An Exclusive Message from the Hollywood Heritage Champion

“This is what being Hollywood Heritage Champion is like, Andy Brown,” says a stern Royce Isaacs. “It’s the most competitive job you can imagine and every day you have to put your resume down and say ‘I am the best wrestler in the world.’ And every day you have to get selected for that job again.”
Life at the top can be lonely for the holder of both the United Television Championship and the Hollywood Heritage Title, Royce Isaacs. Since Jamie Iovine chose a Ladder Match as the stipulation for the title bout at Milestone on December 9, Royce has begun to show more of a mean streak than we’ve ever seen before. See below for his full comments towards his opponent at Milestone, “Uptown” Andy Brown:
