Nick Aldis Defends This Sunday

NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis

The Aldis Crusade – a series of title defenses over the next sixty days – begins this Sunday at Championship Wrestling From Hollywood’s Television Event. For NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis, this schedule of matches with the “Ten Pounds of Gold” on the line will be the defining factor in whether or not he will be talked about among the greats. For this reason, the Champion has set specific parameters for who is able to challenge him for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship.

The seal of the Aldis Crusade

“Every challenger must be a former World Champion or have beaten a World Champion,” says Aldis, dead-set on defeating the best of the best as the Crusade marches on. When HollywoodWrestling.com asked what his reasoning is for demanding such a high caliber of opponents, the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion replied calmly, “Fortune favors the brave.” Listen here for Nick Aldis’ full official address, courtesy of the National Wrestling Alliance:

Semi-Finals: A CWFH Weekend Preview

The weekend is a much-deserved break after a job well done during the week. It is a time to relax, catch your breath, and enjoy another captivating hour of Championship Wrestling From Hollywood. This week’s broadcast is loaded with your favorite stars doing what they do best. Speaking of “Best,” the United Television Champion Scorpio Sky will be in action against “Rocketboy” Dmarco Wilson. Can Wilson Kick Flip his way to a future shot at the Television Title or will this “Ace of the Half-Pipe” fall prey to the Ace of Spades?

It would be unwise to get on the bad side of a man like Bateman. Ever since being pinned at Milestone, the “Main Man” has had a chip on his shoulder. The individual who put that chip there is none other than “American Thunder” Dicky Mayer. While Dicky sees the victory as fair play, Bateman sees it as a personal attack on everything that the 2017 Red Carpet Rumble Winner has worked for. These two men square off on the program this week to see if they settle their differences in a matter of respect.

In this episode’s Main Event, we’ll see a stellar semi-final match in the PP3 Cup Memorial Tournament. The man from the Mile High City, Royce Isaacs goes one-on-one with “Uptown” Andy Brown. This one is going to be hot, as its winner will advance to the PP3 Cup Finals! You do not want to miss out on this contest and more on this week’s Championship Wrestling From Hollywood!

United Wrestling Network World Tag Team Champions: Reno Scum

Reno Scum take out Coach Flexo.

Reno Scum means smash mouth wrestling. It’s hard-hitting double teams and concussive combinations.  It’s not pretty and that’s just how they like it. Luster the Legend is a weapon in himself, with a skull as hard as the guitar riffs in his entrance theme. Adam Thornstowe is a lightning-quick striker who’s as athletic as they come. Having recovered from a bicep injury in 2017, Thornstowe is rebuilt man of destruction and now he and Luster have come back to tag team wrestling stronger than ever.

When asked to comment on the tag teams in the United Wrestling Network who are clamoring for a shot at the champs, Adam Thornstowe replied, “Everyone will be silenced by the violence because they’re ain’t no party like a Reno Scum party!” Never short on words for their opposers, the champions suggest that there may not be a team capable of stopping them. “We’re the Reno Scum and we do what we want when we want. And that’s good for us and bad for you!” added Luster the Legend, offering a fair warning to any teams who come calling their names.

Call them what you want, we’ll call them the United Wrestling Network World Tag Team Champions. Every tag team in the United Wrestling Network is on notice: Reno Scum is coming to crack your skull in. Oi!

Proving Ground: A CWFH Weekend Preview

It is a time of growth on Championship Wrestling From Hollywood. With every division reshaping to accommodate a more competitive climate across the United Wrestling Network, a breath of new competitors has come into Hollywood to shake things up with the young roster still vying for a shot at gold. This feeling is evidenced in a variety of ways on this week’s episode. The first form that it takes is in two opening round matches in the PP3 Cup Tournament. Royce Isaacs will take on Ricky Mandel in the first contest of the episode and Julius Coleman will step into the ring with Kevin Condron. Which two of these four men will advance to the semi-finals against the likes of Suede Thompson and Andy Brown? With the PP3 Cup hanging in the balance, expect these competitors to pull out all the stops en route to “Percy’s Privilege.”

Hollywood Heritage Champion Bad Dude Tito has faced some challenges in defending his title. While the Champion is chomping at the bit to demonstrate that he can beat anyone who stands across from him, CWFH Minority Owner Nikko Marquez has a few thoughts on Championship defenses. According to the Hollywood Heritage Champion contract that Nikko Marquez drew up himself, the Champion must be featured on the program, but it doesn’t have to be a title match. This week, you will see Bad Dude Tito in a non-title bout against a young man looking to prove himself, Karl Fredericks.

In this episode’s Main Event, a new #1 Contender to Scorpio Sky’s United Television Championship will be determined in a Three-Way Dance! This unpredictable contest is sure to excite any viewer tuning in. It will be “American Thunder” Dicky Mayer versus Ray Rosas versus Watts going head-to-head-to-head! Tim Storm Discusses His Future in the NWA

Former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Tim Storm
Every night since December 9, 2017 has been filled with an internal debate for Tim Storm. That is because on that frigid night at CZW: Cage of Death, NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Tim Storm became the former Worlds Heavyweight Champion. On the road to his rematch with new Champion Nick Aldis, Tim Storm was forced into putting his shot at the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship on the line against Jocephus. Storm fought Jocephus in a grueling Empty Arena Match at the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida and when the dust settled Tim Storm was left laying without his title match to look forward to. So where does that leave the former Worlds Heavyweight Champion?
On Sunday, January 28, 2018, Tim Storm returned to Championship Wrestling From Hollywood to talk publicly about the internal struggle that has kept him up at night. Is it time to hang it up? See the full story here, courtesy of the National Wrestling Alliance:

The Aldis Crusade begins in Hollywood

NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis

“This isn’t just my mission,” exclaims NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis, “This is my life.” The holder of the “Ten Pounds of Gold” has been carefully deciding how to make the wrestling world understand that he belongs at the top of the mountain. In doing so, the Champion has created The Aldis Crusade: A series of title defenses over sixty days to prove that his name belongs in the same conversation as past Worlds Heavyweight Champions like Harley Race, Dusty Rhodes, and Ric Flair.

The NWA has chosen Aldis’ first defense to happen on February 11 at the Championship Wrestling From Hollywood Television Event in Port Hueneme, CA. Here is the full story, courtesy of the National Wrestling Alliance:

Tim Storm to Announce Future Plans on Jan 28

Former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Tim Storm is at a crossroads. Having lost the “Ten Pounds of Gold” to Nick Aldis on December 9th, 2017 at CZW’s “Cage of Death,” the future is unclear for the man who proclaimed that Championship as his “mountaintop.”

“I definitely have more miles in my rearview mirror than I have in the windshield,” says Storm, reflecting on his wrestling career. Tim Storm had at least one thing to look forward to inside the squared circle: his rematch for the Worlds Heavyweight Championship. Unfortunately for Tim, someone took exception to that rematch clause.

Storm buries Jocephus in folding chairs during their Empty Arena Match.

Jocephus has been a thorn in Tim Storm’s side for months now. After spending 45 days suspended from NWA sanctioned events due to his attack on Tim Storm at CWFH Milestone, Jocephus hatched a plan to get back to the top. The bearded brawler went after Storm’s family, tormenting Tim’s daughter until he agreed to put up his shot at the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship against Jocephus in an Empty Arena Match. The melee took the two men all over the Impact Zone with a plethora of weapons used on each another. When the dust settled, Jocephus had his hand raised in victory. Tim Storm had lost the match, lost his shot at the “Ten Pounds of Gold,” and he lost the road ahead of him as a professional wrestler.

Storm lands hard on a ladder at ringside.

What does the future hold for the former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion? Hear it straight from Tim Storm’s mouth live at the Oceanview Pavilion on January 28th!

Scum: A CWFH Weekend Preview

With Milestone in the rear view mirror, a new year begins on Championship Wrestling From Hollywood. What better way to kick off 2018 than with the opening round of the Percival Pringle III Memorial Cup Tournament? This week, you’ll see Suede Thompson going against Richie Slade as well as Andy Brown stepping into the ring with Tomaste. Which two of these colorful competitors will advance to the semi finals?

Scorpio Sky defeated Rocky Romero for the United Wrestling Network Television Championship under questionable circumstances at Milestone. Whether or not you agree with his actions, Sky is dead-set on making sure everyone in the world knows that he is “The Best.” The United Wrestling Network Television Champion Scorpio Sky will be in action on the program this week.

In the Main Event of the episode, we will see a huge rematch from Milestone as the new United Wrestling Network World Tag Team Champions Reno Scum defend against Pac 3. Pac 3 lost the titles when Coach Flexo decided to bench player Dylan Bostic and enter himself into the match during their last encounter with Reno Scum. Coach Flexo, never willing to take the blame for a loss himself, was quick to invoke their rematch clause to get the chance to have those titles back around the waists of Pac 3. Will their game plan work or will Adam Thornstowe and Luster the Legend send the Coach back to the locker room empty handed? Tune in to find out on this week’s Championship Wrestling From Hollywood!

Dicky Mayer and Bateman to Square off on Jan 28

Bateman is a calculated man who knows what he wants. After his steady climb to the top of the Championship Wrestling From Hollywood roster in 2017, Bateman and the viewers were astounded by the upset victory that Dicky Mayer scored on the “Main Man” at Milestone. Looking back at the Blockbuster Event, fans have wondered if Dicky Mayer is just as calculated as the man he’s seemingly targeted.

The last time Mayer and Bateman were in the ring together, it was every man for himself in a Four-Way Dance. The already a difficult task of beating a single opponent was made even more challenging for Bateman and Dicky with the additions of Matt Knicks and Ryan Taylor to the contest. Just as Bateman had Matt Knicks right where he wanted him, Mayer took an opportunity to strike. With a quick Schoolboy pin, Bateman’s shoulders were on the mat and “American Thunder’s” hand was raised in victory. This loss did not sit well with the CWFH mainstay, as Bateman has asked to step into the ring with Mayer once again when the time is right.

Wait no longer, fans. On Sunday January 28th, Bateman and Dicky Mayer go one-on-one. This is a matchup you’re not going to want to miss seeing live. Be sure to be at the Oceanview Pavilion this Sunday to catch all of the action of Championship Wrestling From Hollywood !

Hollywood Heritage Championship Match Announced for Jan 28

Bad Dude Tito has had a rough go of things the last several months, even after having won the Hollywood Heritage Championship. CWFH Minority Owner Nikko Marquez has kept Tito guessing when and where his next title defense will be, not letting the champion have more than a few moments to prepare. This Sunday, January 28th, at the Oceanview Pavilion, Bad Dude Tito will be defending his title against a new opponent who will be making his Championship Wrestling From Hollywood debut.
Jeff Cobb (Photo by Mark Johnson)
HollywoodWrestling.com learned that Nikko Marquez has named Jeff Cobb to be the next challenger to the Hollywood Heritage Championship. Though new to CWFH, Cobb has an impressive resume that makes him a worthy contender to the “Baddest Dude in Professional Wrestling.” The native Hawaiian competed as an amateur wrestler in the 2004 Summer Olympics before going pro and challenging opponents all over the world. His skills combined with his unmatched strength make Jeff Cobb a suitable contender to Bad Dude Tito.
Will Bad Dude Tito have a game plan to retain the Hollywood Heritage Championship or will he be out-matched by Jeff Cobb? Come out to the Oceanview Pavilion on January 28th and find out!
