Progress: A CWFH Weekend Preview

Feeling festive this weekend? Open a cold drink and propose a toast to yet another thing to celebrate: a brand new episode of Championship Wrestling From Hollywood! On this weekend’s episode, you’ll see the First  Progenitor of Hyperoptimism Ty Matthews continue his run in the singles ranks. Having left opponents like Rixon and Dmarco Wilson laying flat in past weeks, Matthews looks to deliver a spear to his next opponent in the pursuit of Being Well.

Last week Bateman returned to the program after enduring a 30 day suspension. Since brutalizing “American Thunder” Dicky Mayer over one month ago, the “Main Man”  has been a bit off-kilter. What punishment does Bateman have in store for his unlucky opposer this week?

In our Main Event, we will have a huge 6-Man Tag Team match. Ray Rosas teams up with the Soul Burners (Ryan Taylor and Tomaste) to take on Oliver Grimsly and the Rancheros. Will we see Chris Bey get involved in Ray’s business again? Does Howdy Price have something special in store for the meditative muchachos or will progress lead Taylor, Tomaste and Ray Rosas to victory over the “Circus Freak,” Rogelio, and Raul? To find out you’ll have to tune into this week’s Championship Wrestling From Hollywood!

CWFH to Host the Silver Spotlight Tournament on May 5

Ryan Morals has made a lot of promises over the last several months. He has kept two of them for sure. The first was usurping Peter Avalon as the Head Matchmaker for Championship Wrestling From Arizona. The second promise Morals has made good on is taking his show on the road. On Saturday, May 5, 2018, the newly renamed Ryan J Morals Championship Wrestling Hour for Good Boys will hold its first ever Silver Spotlight Tournament at the Oceanview Pavilion in Port Hueneme, CA. The Silver Spotlight winner will be granted a title shot at any time that he chooses on a future episode of program. With stakes that high, this surely will be a can’t-miss event. Make sure to be at the Oceanview Pavilion on May 5th as The Ryan J Morals Championship Wrestling Hour for Good Boys presents the Silver Spotlight Tournament! Special 5pm belltime.

The weekend is here and it’s time to find peace with a brand new episode of Championship Wrestling From Hollywood! Speaking of peace, the mindful duo of Ryan Taylor and Tomaste are looking to find peace by defeating the team that snuck away with a victory the last time they met: Classic Connection! Buddy Royal and Levi Shapiro step back into the ring intent on stomping out the open-toed technicians and bring yet another victory home for The Office? Who will get their hands raised and jump ahead in the CWFH tag team division?

Howdy Price and his Rancheros return to the program for the first time since unmasking Spirit and the Stars several weeks ago. Where has the giant gentleman been and what does he plan to do next with his masked assassins? Find out this week!
Referee Jeremy Marcus checks on challenger Kevin Condron. (Photo by Devin Chen)
In our Main Event, a long anticipated matchup for the Hollywood Heritage Championship takes place. In what many consider a match that can only happen in Championship Wrestling From Hollywood, Kevin Condron challenges Bad Dude Tito for the richest prize in the company. Spectators claim that Condron has been handed everything that Tito had to work for, including a shot at the Hollywood Heritage Championship. Will Condron’s mettle prove that a kid from the West Side is truly better than a street fighter from Whittier? Bad Dude Tito puts everything on the line in the Main Event of this week’s Championship Wrestling From Hollywood!

Oliver Grimsly returns April 15

Scorpio Sky can be a tough man to pin down. The United Television Champion has made a habit out of finding excuses not to defend his title as of late. Anything from a painful eyebrow threading to just not feeling like showing up to the building have kept Scorpio Sky out of dodge and have inflamed his contenders. The Television Championship is defended at all United Wrestling Network promotions, so when Sky isn’t even interested in leaving Hollywood, his title contenders are left without the opportunity that they have earned. If Sky won’t come to them, well, they have resolved to go to him. Oliver Grimsly returns to Championship Wrestling From Hollywood on April 15 in search of Scorpio Sky.

“I’ve hurt men worse over smaller things,” screams a tormented Oliver Grimsly while waving a crowbar, “Scorpio Sky has what’s mine and I’m coming to take it away!” Grimsly hasn’t been seen in CWFH since the summer of 2017. He has spent that time away decimating opponents on Championship Wrestling From Arizona with his trusty crowbar, leading to suspensions on more than one occasion. If he isn’t able to take the Television Title away from Scorpio Sky, there very well may be a team of men in white coats coming to take Oliver away.

Oliver won’t be the only man in Hollywood on April 15 with a rightful claim to a shot at the United Television Champion. Viewers will note that Ray Rosas has been chomping at the bit for all of 2018 to get the title match that he earned by beating both Watts and Dicky Mayer. Rosas has been made aware of Grimsly’s presence at the Television Event this Sunday and has personally asked for a match against the “Circus Freak.” If he wants to get to Scorpio Sky, Oliver Grimsly will have to square off with Ray Rosas on April 15. Make sure to be at the Oceanview Pavilion this Sunday to see it live!

Adrian Quest vs. Chris Bey April 15

Championship Wrestling From Hollywood is a place for young talents to make a name for themselves on television. Wrestlers like Peter Avalon and Dicky Mayer (to name a few) began showing their bright young faces on the program years ago only to ascend the ranks through their determination, grit, and chutzpah. On April 15, two of CWFH’s current bright young stars lock horns in an athletic contest that will send a message to the whole roster as Chris Bey steps into the ring against Adrian Quest. But what makes these men the ones to watch?

CWFH newcomer Chris Bey studies under the tree of Scorpio Sky – arguably the most athletic competitor in the United Wrestling Network. Sky’s athleticism has lead him to victories over the best in the world, evidenced by his fourth (and current) reign as United Television Champion. Sky is also a powerful striker, a tactic that Bey is smart to pick up if he wants to pick off his opponents in a timely fashion. If Scorpio Sky’s prowess is any indication of his protege’s skill set, Adrian Quest has his work cut out for him.

Quest on the other hand is no slouch himself. Fans will remember that before being unmasked, Adrian Quest spent the better part of two years wrestling as the luchador Astro Viajero. Wrestling a Lucha Libre style not only makes one quick and athletic, but also instills in its students ways to avoid crucial strikes. As effective as dives and arm drags can be, perhaps Adrian Quest’s most useful skill against Chris Bey will be knowing how and when to evade attacks. Learned from his time spent training and wrestling in Mexico, Quest’s evasive agility will both confuse and wear down any opponent he stands across from. If Chris Bey wants to call himself “The Next Best Thing,” he better not get frustrated by his opponent’s strategy, for Adrian Quest shines brightest when his opponent feels in the dark.

You won’t want to miss a second of action in this one, so make sure to be at the Oceanview Pavilion on April 15 to see it live!

United Wrestling Network to host a Television Special in China

When they say that the United Wrestling Network has a worldwide reach, that isn’t just a turn of phrase. From the competitors to the promotions, United has collected a system of moving parts that have resulted in the most unique professional wrestling happening in the most unique locations around the globe. After United presented two radically different major events in New Orleans last week (CZW and Main Event Pro Wrestling), the Network is now tasked with topping those in a completely different fashion. The aforementioned worldwide reach has touched down in Wenzhou, China, and a stacked lineup of stars is set to make their China debuts during a television broadcast on April 14. Already signed:

Who is Pinx?

Having a great cornerman instills confidence into any competitor in the title hunt at Championship Wrestling From Hollywood. In the past, we’ve seen several stars step into the ring with muscle in their corner to intimidate opponents and watch their back. YUMA had the members of Vermin, Sasha Darevko had Comrade, and “Professional” Peter Avalon had The Office. Fidel Bravo may have all these men beat with an enforcer standing 6’4”, weighing 320 lbs, and sporting a pink accent to his otherwise black ensemble. But who is this man?

When HollywoodWrestling.com reached out for comment, the titan we’ve learned to call “Pinx” had nothing to share but a chilling leer from behind his aviators. Luckily, we were able to catch up with Pinx’s right hand man, Fidel Bravo, to get some insight into this mammoth.
“The only thing you need to know about Pinx is that he’s the only man I trust by my side,” says Bravo while cockily pulling his hair into a tight bun on the right side of his head, “because he is the only man I know that can get anyone out of my way.”

If one thing is for sure, it’s that any time Fidel Bravo appears on screen, Pinx will be by his side. That’s good news for Bravo and bad news for the roster of Championship Wrestling From Hollywood. They won’t be hard to find because with a cornerman like Pinx at ringside, all eyes will be on them.

Uptown: A CWFH Weekend Preview

They say that March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb. As the month comes to a close, the newest episode of Championship Wrestling From Hollywood is sure to make viewers roar and that’s not a baaaaad thing! The program this week begins with an international challenge as Ty Matthews steps into the ring with Israeli star Rixon. Will Hyperoptimism continue to be well for Matthews’ in the singles ranks or will Rixon return to the Middle East with a winner’s purse?

The record book is tied at one victory a piece for Bateman and Dicky Mayer. With both men feeling confident going into this matchup, it will be a tough victory for the competitor who is able to outlast the vigor of his opponent. Will Mayer win the series or will Bateman show Dicky what it means to be a boy in a man’s world?

In our Main Event you’ll see two of CWFH’s most popular stars go head-to-head as “Uptown” Andy Brown takes on Ray Rosas. Though both men are known for dancing, when the bell rings it’s all business for these two athletes. Will Ray Rosas send Brown back uptown or will Andy live to dance another day? Tune in and find out on this week’s Championship Wrestling From Hollywood!

Classic: A CWFH Weekend Preview

Heads up! A brand new episode of Championship Wrestling from Hollywood is coming your way! Our program this week starts off with a Hollywood newcomer who’s been trying his luck against the best and brightest that CWFH has to offer: “Uptown” Andy Brown. Despite having hopes as big as his smile, Andy may have met his match in his opponent this week, Watts. Will Brown’s vigor be enough to score a victory or will Watts continue to Be Well?

There have been a lot of questions floating around Hollywood over the last several weeks. Following the Mask vs. Mask match weeks ago, the former Espiritu has had a change of attitude as Fidel Bravo. When Bravo stepped back into the ring with his longtime partner Adrian Quest, Bravo had an unknown ace up his sleeve. A large man in a pink ensemble interfered, causing a disqualification a general feeling of disarray. On this episode, we’ll hear from Fidel Bravo and the man in his corner to get a better understanding of who they are and what their business is with Adrian Quest.

In our Main Event, the United Wrestling Network World Tag Team Champions Reno Scum put their titles on the line against the Classic Connection. Two weeks ago, CWFH Minority Owner Nikko Marquez welcomed his favorite tag team back to Hollywood with open arms. After picking up a victory over Ryan Taylor and Tomaste, Buddy Royal and Levi Shapiro were granted a title shot against the most dominant tag team in the United Wrestling Network. Will Luster the Legend and Adam Thornstowe have a classic beating in store for the Classic Connection or will Royal and Shapiro push Retro-Forward to send the Scum back to Reno empty handed? Tune in and find out on this edition of Championship Wrestling From Hollywood!
